The Hohe Wand Nature Park is a popular destination for every free day. The mountain road built in 1932 takes you to around 1,000m above sea level without any major effort. The various circular hiking trails lead to the most beautiful places – lookout tower, rock path or Skywalk viewing terrace allow fascinating views. Pure mountain pleasure on the highest mountain in Lower Austria! 80 kilometers south of Vienna in a basin at the foot of the 2,076-meter-high Schneeberg lies the climatic health resort of Puchberg – a paradise for hiking enthusiasts, winter sports fans and those seeking relaxation.

The hiking village of Puchberg am Schneeberg with over 80 kilometers of hiking trails and alpine paths is the perfect place to discover the wonderful natural surroundings and get moving. Not for nothing is it one of the most beautiful hiking areas in Lower Austria.

The Schneeberg chairlift is located in the district of Losenheim . In just a few minutes, the four-seater chairlift takes guests to the mountain station at 1,210 meters above sea level – to the Fadensattel. This is the ideal starting point for leisurely hikes or sporty and challenging tours on and around the Schneeberg. The huts on the mountain invite you to linger and indulge young and old with regional delicacies and refreshments. Magnificent panoramic views are guaranteed.

Five fun play stations await younger guests during the summer season, which can be explored in combination with a stamp pass rally.

In the cold season, the areas around the Schneeberg chairlift are transformed into a winter sports paradise for the whole family. The family ski park with mat ski slope, drag lift and magic carpet attracts with beginner-friendly slopes.
